1. Programme Name and Duration
The programme name is Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Studies.
The Duration of the Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Studies programme is two (2) academic years distributed into four (4) semesters and each semester comprises of 17 weeks.The last two weeks of semester are reserved for examinations. Internship will be carried out at the end of the last academic year and will take two months.

The programme will also provide knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes needed for would-be secretaries to function well in office occupation and also be self-reliant. It will also equip students with vocational skills, effective work competencies and socio-psychological work skills essential for inter-personal relations.
In addition to the above, Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Studies will provide students with adequate skills, information and competencies needed to function well in office occupation.
The programme will also aim at equipping the trainees with skills for supervising and guiding projects in addition to serving as a basis or spring bearer for higher studies in Secretarial and Office Administrative Studies.

The objectives of this programme are to enable students to:
i) Acquire modern managerial, communication and organisational skills
ii) Gain competencies to meet the demands of the contemporary world.
iii) Upgrade their competencies in information technology
iv) Handle office confidential matters with confidentiality and honesty and in addition be able to exercise their legal rights.
v) Competently manage projects.

Upon completion of the programme students should be able to:
